Subject: a one time experience
I was at this show and what was truly amazing was what occurred after the lights came up at the end. Firstly, Morning Dew was so so powerful that it set up what happened later on. As we were leaving the crowd never stopped cheering. Eventually the cheers turned to high fives and hugs. Perfect strangers hugging each other (just like it says in Scarlet Begonias) because we all shared an experience that will live with us all forever. Twenty-two years later (and change) my hair still stands on end.

Subject: second electric ever!!!
This was a great night getting back on the road on what led up to be a super good tour! This night was so nice with the boys showing it was time to have a little fun on stage! I had the greatest moment come into my ears as i heard that first riff to Ripple!! Damn the capital city of DC was going nucking futts!!! I do believe they had to play through the musical sections four extra times so that we could even here the words glow! Its unreal how many people walked out of this show during OMSN. I had three or four great friends walk out early and miss the gift from Make A Wish Found. an electric RIPPLE! say no more....

I heard that this was played as a "last wish" for a kid with cancer. I went to the rest of the tour expecting to see it but they never played it again! At least I was at the Radio City shows in 1980 to see it than.

Subject: STRANGE ENCORE
IN MY EYE'S THE LAST GOOD YEAR WAS 1988.DON'T GET ME WRONG THERE WAS SOME GOOD SHOW'S AFTER BUT THEY WERE SPORADIC AT BEST.THIS NIGHT AT THE CAP CENTER WAS REAL GOOD.START OF THE FALL TOUR THE BOY'S IN GOOD SPIRIT'S.I CAN BE VERY SNOBBY AS FAR AS SHOW'S GO BUT THIS NITE HAD GREAT ENERGY.ALMOST WALKED OUT AT THE OPENING NOTE'S OF SATURDAY NITE BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON STUCK IT OUT AND BOY WAS IT WORTH IT.EVERY SHOW AFTER THIS NITE EVERYBODY WAITED UNTIL THE LIGHTS CAME UP TO SEE IF RIPPLE WOULD APPPEAR.IT NEVER DID WHICH WAS JUST AS COOL. IF MY WORDS DID GLOW.

Notes

*I got shut out for taper tix and hooked up a patch. It was tough to get
near the section, so my D5 was handed to the taper. He was using small diameter
AKG mics, probably 451's or 461's and a full sized DAT recorder. Unfortunately,
I do not remember his name.

# The OTS was in the first riser at the back of the floor.

Notes: This is the 16 bit version.
